Service Corp Manager & Staff
 
General Manager - Joseph H. Smith, III
 
Joe Smith has been the Service Corp General Manager since June of 2001.  The manager reports directly to the President of the Service Corp Board of Directors.  His respopnsibilities include maintaining all corporation accounts, record and files of the Service Corp, as set forth by Federal Law and Florida Statutes and the Service Corp's Charter and By-Laws.  The manager serves as the liason between the Board of Directors and association members.
 
Additional General Manager Duties
  • Weekly property inspections
  • Enforcememt of Deed Restrictions
  • Organize and prepare all materials for Service Corp annual & monthly meetings
  • Maintain an effective accounting system for the Service Corp
  • Responsible for the collection of all assesments
  • Provide management support for all Service Corp operations
  • Operates and guides the community consistent with the approved annual budget
  • Responsible for the annual review of Service Corp insurance program
  • Solicits, analyzes, compares, and negotiates all bids on contracts for execution of the Board of Directors 
  • Hires, manages,  provides training, and discharges personnel when necessary

Riverview Facilities Coordinator - Lucille B. Smith
Service Corp employee since September 1989
  • Reports directly to the General Manager
  • Shows Riverview Facilities to potential renters
  • Prepares rental contracts and receives payments for the bookkeepper
  • Coordinates the set-up of recreation and rental functions
  • Maintains a facilities use calendar
  • Assists with the coordination of custodial functions of Riverview facility
  • Works with ACC Committee to facilitate the permitting process and maintains its files
  • Serves as receptionist answering phones, greeting the public, and assisting homeowners and facility personnel at the Service Corp office
Administrative Assistant - Linda L. Stuto
Service Corp employee since July 1999
  • Reports directly to the General Manager
  • Accepts payments of monthly maintanance fees, compound fees, and Recreation Dues
  • Prepares Service Corp Bank deposits
  • Typing support for Service Corp Board of Directors & Committee
  • Transcribs minutes of board meetings from recorded tapes
  • Keeps records of all meetings by maintaining minute book, attachment to minutes, motion book, and policy manual
  • Maintains files for correspondence to homeowners and correspondence with St. Johns County 
  • Work with title companies to determine account status at closings
  • Serves as receptionist answering phones, greeting the public, and assisting homeowners and facility personnel at the Service Corp office
Bookkeepper A/P-A/R - Karen Clarkson
Service Corp employee since July 2007
  • Reports directly to the General Manager
  • Responsible for the Service Corp's Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Maintains files for employees, vendors, tax records as required by Florida Statute and corporate policy
  • Collection of all Service Corp deliquent accounts
  • Prepares and maintains employee records
  • Works with Auditors and Accountants as needed
  • Maintains Purchase Order register for all Service Corp accounts
  • Maintains coumpound rentals, pool memberships, and recreation association member logs
  • Serves as receptionist answering phones, greeting the public, and assisting homeowners and facility personnel at the Service Corp office
 
After Hours Hostess/Special Events & Office Assistant:  Sally Canfield
Service Corp employee since October 2006
  • Directly responsible to the General Manager
  • Introduce prospective members and guests to the facility
  • Assist during after-hours or weekend club activities and rentals
  • Oversee building during Service Corp activities, rentals, and Recreation Club activities
  • Report any accidents, damage, or complaints to the General Manager
  • Assist Service Corp office staff in completing their duties as directed by the General Manager
  • Fill-in for Service Corp office staff when they are sick or on vacation
  •  Serves as receptionist answering phones, greeting the public, and assisting homeowners and facility personnel at the Service Corp office
